Brother Knights,
November will be Mental Health Awareness Month for Arizona Knights of Columbus. Our country’s mental health crisis is worsening, especially among our youth. Our nation’s culture has changed. Society is discovering that what makes you happy through worldly and materialistic pursuits that make you feel good will only lead to more discontent and mental health struggles. Addictions to substances, electronic devices, and social media have increased behavioral health issues.
Please consider joining our campaign of No-Shave November to support Mental Health Awareness. Solicit donations from friends and family to help you as you toss the razor aside for a month!
Diocese of Phoenix Bishop John Dolan established the Office of Mental Health Ministry last year shortly after his sister committed suicide.
So, let’s get scruffy next month! You can participate as an individual or as a council! Photograph your start and finish so we can post on our Facebook page at the beginning of December. Try setting up a donation page on your social media or the old-fashioned way of asking, and you shall receive.
Checks payable to: Arizona Knights of Columbus Charity Inc
